Bill 388 if passed into law would allow the compiler of laws to provide
a searchable database of laws on the Internet. Republican senator Bob
Klitzkie says he introduced the bill at the request of Supreme Court Chief
Justice Phil Carbullido, saying, "The position of the Judiciary is
that the compiler of laws should be able to maintain a searchable database,
and if 388 were enacted into law that would be the affect."
The compiler of laws has already made the Guam Code Annotated available
on the World Wide Web, but the web site on which it sits has no searchable
index.
