Should Organic Act changes have to go through
Congress?

It's shaping up to be a busy week for the Legislature. Aside from confirmation
hearings, the Legislative Committee on General and Omnibus Matters will
hold a public hearing Wednesday on a number of bills including legislation
that would patriate the Organic Act of Guam.
Introduced by Senator Bob Klitzkie (R), the bill would allow for amendments
to the Organic Act locally, instead of having to go to Congress. The public
hearing is scheduled for Wednesday beginning at 9am.
