Senator Robert Klitzkie has authored a new bill aimed at helping GovGuam
employees displaced through the privatization process. Klitzkie’s
Bill 141 creates a new business designation for companies organized by
employees whose jobs will be subject to outsourcing.
“This gives the employees the option to participate in the free-enterprise
system and to become capitalist, if you will, and to participate and be
bosses and not be the victim to the vagaries of Government of Guam employment,”
says Klitzkie.
The bill encourages affected employees to form companies and bid on outsourcing
contracts.
