Senator Robert Klitzkie is making yet another pitch to roll-back the
Gross Receipts Tax increase – both figuratively and literally.
“The Gross Receipts Tax increase ought to be out,” says Klitzkie.
Senator Klitzkie says strike one was the increase doesn’t balance
the current budget. Strike two is the increase isn’t bringing in
enough revenue to prevent a payless payday. And strike three is the increase
isn’t needed to borrow money.
“Roll back the increase to 4%. The increase of the Gross Receipts
Tax falls most heavily on those least able to bear it,” says Klitzkie.
