Librarians thanked Senator Bob Klitzkie (R) with a round of applause this afternoon after receiving a check for $135,000. “One thing I'm not going to say is that the check is in the mail,” said the second-term senator laughingly, “because I've got the check right here.”

The donation came from the office savings of Senator Klitzkie as part of Bill 12, which earmarked more than $100,000 to the Public School Library Resources Fund. Librarians intend to use the money to purchase resources like laptops and additional resources and supplies.
